There are 3 types of event results when it comes to Gulf Coast Region autocross. First and foremost, are the "FINAL" results. Final results report a driver's posistion in his or her class (Open Tire, Street Tire, Ladies, and Novice). Final results are used to calculate the Class Championships, which run throughout the year.
"PAX" (Professional Autocross) results report a driver's posistion overall among all drivers in the event. "PAX" may also be referred to as "RTP" (Racer's Theoretical Performance). Basically, a driver's pax is a multiplier that is assigned to a driver's time. This multiplier is dependant on the driver's vehicle (and the modifications to that vehicle). The "FINAL" results are based on this multiplier as well. Pax attempts to rank drivers based on the driver's skill, not the performance of the car.
"RAW" results report the driver's overall posistion in the event, based purely on time. Raw results could be considered the "Heads Up" results.
For more information on how these results are used for points, check out the Gulf Coast Region SCCA rule book on the Home page.
